The online Five-year Master’s Degree in Law trains the students to manage the main knowledge of the legal field, by balancing a basic cultural knowledge, educational grounds and the main aspects of disciplines concerning both positive Law and complementary or similar disciplines, relevant for the understanding of any Law processes.
In particular, this Master’s degree course guarantees the training in the historical-philosophical areas, private and public Law, civil procedure, criminal and international Law, as well as in the institutional, economic, comparative and community framework.
At the end of its five-year period, this Degree course, through the deeper study of civil, comparative, criminal and procedural subjects, aims to provide the students with a full mastery of analysing competences in the fundamental juridical norms, as well as the ability of setting guidelines of reasoning and knowledge of a correct approach in written and oral technical instruments for the jurist profession, with full awareness of its technical- legal, cultural and practical implications.
The Degree Course aims to provide students with the analysing skills of legal norms as well as the ability to set in written and oral form, the lines of reasoning and adequate arguments for a correct approach to general and special legal questions, cases and cases, by being aware of their technical, legal, cultural, practical and value implications.
In addition to Italian, students have to use fluently, in written and oral form, at least one language of the European Union, with reference to disciplinary lexicons.

In addition to the legal professions and the judiciary, graduates from this Degree course will be able to carry out activities and be employed, under high responsibility tasks, in the various fields of social, socio-economic and political activity or in the institutions, in the public administrations, in private companies, in trade unions, in the field of IT, comparative, international and EU law (European jurist), as well as in international organizations where the analytical, evaluation and decision-making capacities of the jurist prove to be fruitful even outside of the sectorial knowledge.

Students wishing to enrol in the Degree Course must hold a secondary school diploma or other qualification awarded abroad and officially recognized in compliance to current legislations.
In compliance with the provisions of the didactic regulations (DAR), the enrolling students must prove a solid basic knowledge, especially in the historical-institutional field and in the history of thought, together with a great aptitude for abstract and sequential reasoning and a developed ability to work on complex written texts, as well as elements of knowledge of foreign languages and computer science, to ensure a fruitful attendance in the studies.
The enrolling students have to carry out, also online, an assessment test - whose result is not binding for enrolment- aimed at providing general information on the student's willingness to undertake the chosen studies and on the basic knowledge required. A negative result of the entrance assessment test does not preclude the student to enrol, since the course provide with recovery tests of lacking knowledge.

International Study's traineeships are integral part of the student academic curriculum, and are provided as practical activities of the academic record relevant to the completion of the study course. Traineeships may be mandatory or recognized as processes through which students may gain exemptions of credits. The number of credits gained for curricular traineeships is stated in the Standard Study Plans. Traineeship activities are officially recognised through the acknowledgement of credits (1 ECTS = 8 hours). Generally, the working hours are mutually agreed upon between the trainee and the host company, considering the current needs of both parties and the company working hours. Students may undertake the traineeship at any time of the year.
